Dear all
if anyone could help me. I am doing reaction of methanol to hydrocarbons in a Fixed bed reactor connected online to Shimadzu GC-FID with HP-Plot Q Column. The methanol feed through bubbler with helium (as gas). the problem that I can not detect the peak of methanol . I have heated all line from the reactor to GC to insure that methanol will not condensate. Also I can detect Toluene and Benzes but not methanol. Thank you

Seems like methanol is still sitting in your PLOT.
Try to condition you column without sample injection at higher temperatures to determine if the methanol is there or another solutions - use HP/Rtx/Db-5 column suitable both for alcohols and hydrocarbons.
