Hi all,
I did RT lock calibration in one of my agilent GC-MS.results are pretty good.now i want to use the same RT Lock method in other instrument whether it is possible to copy this method to other instrument? (that instrument is new instrument new column but the old instrument we did column conditioning)

Thank you all
Ashok
Is it the same version/revision of software on both instruments?
From my limited experience with copying methods that was more important than matching the instruments.
Mr.Steve,
Both are same software and same instrument model.Whether it is possible to copy same method in the other instrument or i need to perform separate RT lock method to the new instrument please advice?

Regards
Ashok
Give it a try. It should work if the two systems are similar enough. I have transfered methods between instruments, 5973 and 5975 in my case, but the methods have not always worked properly. The Chemstation versions were not the same.
I have not tried the RT lock on a transfered method.
Mr.Steve,
Thanks for your comment.I will try

Regards
Ashok
Hi Ashoc,

If the lenght of both columns are the same then it should work without any problem. If not then you need to type the exact length in the column calibration.

Hope it helps!

Regards,
Alvin
