hi!
Im working with an Agilent 1100 system, and Empower as software.

We have different systems, some are heat systems so we can have our samples cold, but these systems should also work with regular samples..

my question is:

when im running my sample set, the heat compartment wont turn on.. the method is set for 50 celcius, but nothing happens. the analysis is running, but my RTs are totally out because the temperature is out of hand..

have any of you any advice for me? :)
Make up a new method set and be sure column heater is labelled as ON. Seems like your current method does not work.
Does the column oven work if you manually turn it on in the software, outside of running a method?

Make sure the oven part correctly closes.
Not sure how Empower handles it but in the Agilent software you can set one side to a temperature, and the other can be controlled or not controlled, you have to make sure the boxes are checked so that both halves of the oven have temperature control active.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
thanks for your answers!
The heater works on other methods, but not this one.
But the method im using, if im using it on a different LC-system (but still agilent 1100) its working.

I think its a bug or something, so im having the method-people and techs look at it :)
