hi all,
I inherited a HP5890 with PE Nelson 900 A/D convertor. Can anyone suggest ideas how to acquire data economically from the GC ? I looked at Totalchrom/PeakSimple; they are too expensive for me. There is an adjacent lab that runs Totalchrom Work Station version that I could hook up to (through the ethernet). Perkin Elmer tech support say that I need a terminal server to put the instrument over the network - can I do this through a software terminal server instead of a hardware one (i.e. using a PC to convert the serial data to a TCP packet) ? My insitution owns a Labview license - can anyone give tips how to develop applications in Labview to acquire data from PE Nelson A/D convertor?
