I have a 5973N that the serial number in the system does not match the serial number printed on the instrument. Can anyone advise how to change this? Thanks!

I can only advise to call Agilent and make them aware of the discrepancy. Where did you acquire the system? Maybe something fishy occurred with the seller?

It is nothing fishy, Chemstation was refusing to move forward until I changed the serial number and I mistyped one number. I was hoping someone on here knew how to modify the serial number, similar to how you can on a 6890. I need it to be correct for my own reporting reasons.
