Has anyone tried the merck chromolith column for separation of water soluble vitamins? if yess is there a significant improvement over conventional columns :?:
I did hear many happy users of monolihes

The general benefit is a lower backpressure and the resulting faster runtime, about 5 times faster than packed columns.

I cant´t say If it works for yor vitamin application, but if it´s normal RP ( -18 ) mode, it should work.

hi sridharkam,

i don't know why you want to use a chromolith to separate water soluble vitamins. In effects tha main goal with this type of column is a smaller time analysis but if you want different selectivity i don't think it's a good choice. Moreover if you are interested in vitamin B1 B3 B6 there are a lot of methods with short time analysis. But i don't really know your intents and expectations...that is if the core of your experiment is column or separation itself...
