Shimadzu RF-10AXL keypad problem

We just bought a Shimadzu RF-10AXL used and set it up. The Keypads for the numbers work and beep but the Run, shift, func, and CE keys do not do anything so I cannot light the lamp or set the address etc etc..I tried the Shift+Ce at the same time trick but no luck..Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix that? We just connected it to a SCL-10AVP controller and are getting it to talk but we can't turn the lamp on.....Thanks Eric

After talking with Shimadzu it looks like we need a new keypad (#200-76094-00) but they can't gaurentee that's all that is wrong with it...Hopefully it is something we can do ourselves without any electronics work...We are going to set it up and run it through the controller to see if we can get everything to work that way...It looks like we wont eb able to do the lamp adjust, lamp hours etc maybe some other maintenance that you need the keypad for...if someones know of something that the keypad is needed for that we absoluteley need to have that would be appreciated!
