Agilent 6510A to G1315A Comms Problem

Hi,
I'm trying to connect up an Agilent 6510A QTof to an old HP1100 stack. I've installed the correct G1369A LAN card and can talk to all modules, adjust flow rates etc. They are all showing green status in MassHunter. I can view monitoring data like pressure etc whilst in MassHunter (B2.00). However, when I go to run a sample I momentarily get a change in status from green to purple (pre-run condition) but then the G1315A DAD errors to red and all other modules flash amber. The log in MassHunter says comms lost with G1315A.
Any ideas?
I'm new to MassHunter so may have set something wrong.
Thanks, Steve
Anybody know if I need to connect a remote start cable? I saw in the Agilent 6410 qqq installation guide from a similar era that this was required.
