Greetings!

Our lab has a situation where an analyst was attempting to thermally bakeout a micro-ECD on a 6890. She capped the inlet and with N2 flowing ran the temp up to 330. Unfortunately, overnight the N2 ran out. So the detector was at an elevated temp for a undetermined amount of time. The signal is now at a maximum and after 2 hours of good column and makeup flow at 290C still won't come back down.
Anyone have any ideas as to what we can do next?

Thanks!

Just joined and read your problem.
have you tried injecting anything?
