I have an old Pegasus iii and I want to bypass the ToF and use the FID. The reason for this is the ToF is broken and even though I set the detector to the FID, the acquisition queue in ChromaTOF always tries to calibrate the MS, preventing me from running anything if the ToF is not functional.

I was suggested to replace the controller with an Agilent controller and run the GC with Chemstation to use just the GC-FID. Which board in the GC is the controller that I need to replace, or is there another solution?
