Dear Friends,

Perhaps some of you can help me locate suppliers of fatty acid kits. I am interested in those C16 to C30 ones (either free acid or methyl esters). I have trouble finding suppliers of these sample kits particularly those containing polyunsaturated C18 and heavier ones with cis/trans isomers.

Thanks,

josebenjamin

Sigma-Aldrich

Some may not be part of a kit, but they have 'em all in standard suitable purities.
Thanks,
DR

The company for fatty acid and similar standards used to be;

Nu-Chek Prep.

Not sure if they are still the default, but you could start with them. If they don't have what you need, then perhaps try Matreya

If you want a few, you could try Sigma-Aldrich for individual compounds , but our experience has been that some of their PUFA samples weren't very stable.

If you just want a standard mix, choose a natural product extract, which is often more stable than the pure compounds.
