Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of any open source software that can run older hplc systems. Namely the HP 1050 or Waters OR Shimadzu units? This is of course assuming I have all interface cards installed (ie. HPIB, etc)?

I found OpenChrom (https://www.openchrom.net) but not sure if I can use it.
There is only one FOSS chromatographic system which can control HPLC equipment but unfortunately neither HP/Agilent nor Shimadzu

https://sourceforge.net/projects/chromulan/
You're right, OpenChrom is designed for data analysis only. But CHROMuLAN and OpenChrom cooperate, see:

Though, it's in czech language, but have a look e.g. at page 24.
Hi,

Mr. Pisa has holiday now. I will try to answer simply .

Chromulan plugin has been developed for acquisition data through A\D convertor ULAD 32 (http://www.pikron.com/pages/products/hplc/ulad_32.html) which can be connected with any HPLC chromatograph, which contains analog output.

Chromulan plugin collect data from A\D convertor and save data in format which is supported by program openchrom.
