Dear Friends,

I want to ask anyone with experience on the Varian VACELUTE20 system, their opinions on the ease of use, flow control, solvent resistance, and practical tips you may want to share.

A question I have in mind is that this sytem does not have a stopcock valve between the box and the cartridges, and therefore the flow can only be stoped controlling the vaccum. Any comments on this?

Thanks,

josebenjamin

I never used the Varian Vac Elut, but it looks similar to any other stuff in the market - with the disadvantage (that they present as an advantage) of not having individual stopcocks for each cartridge.

In theory, must be cheaper than others, but there are other people around selling the same at good price. I have experience with the Phenomenex manifold, both 12 and 24 position, and it is cheap enough (under $400), reliable and durable.
These can be bought separately.
