I doubt it is stationary phase damage in this case as I usually see almost all peaks except straight hydrocarbons tailing when there is stationary phase damage.

I confess myself amazed ! Thanks for the feedback.I just ran a standard and it looks a million times better. Better than the GC/MS. There must have been some sort of contaminant in the GC column.
