i have trouble in selecting the column type for analyzing olive mill wastewater..i would like to observe acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric (n- or iso) acid, and phenol in GC (Varian CP-3800)..i would be appreciated if anybody helps me choosing the most suitable column for this wastewater analysis.

when the column type is selected operating conditions will become important for an optimized analysis. for this reason, knowledge about operation conditions would help alot (column temperature, which carrier gas?, column flowrate, reference flowrates, detector etc.)

i will be pleased if anybody helps me for selecting column and analyzing the wastewater..
