I have analysed the related substances of Hydroxypropylbetadex using HPLC method prescribed in European Pharmacopoeia. I have used AlphaBond phenyl column, but the baseline was not stable and shifted after consecutive injections, some waves were found at the recommended stop time, and the retention time of beta-cyclodextrin peak showed decreasing tendency. On the other hand the propyleneglycol peak (which also should be determined) had no retention on this column. My column has same geometry than microBondapack column which is suggested to use by EP on the net. Has anybody experience with microBondapack phenyl column for cyclodextrin analysis?
Thanks
