I just keep a spare computer with an ISA port in the lab. I rebuilt the original HP Kyak with more memmory, a new HDD and Win 2000 last year. I run my 5890 with Win 2000 and G1701BA MSD chemstation and I take the data off the computer with a usb thumb drive over to my office computer to analyze. I have Win 7 and G1701EA E.02 where I analyze the GC/MS and 5890 GC data.

The only issues I've had with the 5890 are the solenoid and proportional control valves which are directly downstream on the split line. They clog with condensed split sample so I put an extra length of 1/8" line then with a reducer and 1/16" line to the solenoid.
