Dear all,
For setting up my experiment during my Ph.D., I have requested or absolutely needed a Gas Chromatography instrument to have my results for comparison and conversion rate for some pollutants that I have to convert (reaction). Thus, your help will be a grateful to handle this setting and starting the catalysis tests of different pollutants. Also, for your information, I have not budget left over for the rest of my PhD and for this reason I am looking for an old GC to build up and complete my work.
I am also asking you and if anyone has any idea how to get that it will be awesome. Moreover, I will pay the shipment.
With regards,
Where are you located?

Best regards,

AICMM
I am located in UK. However, I can pay the shipment if that will be out of the country.
Thanks

If you have no money left GC itself won't solve your problems. You will need suitable room, gas cylinders, consumables etc.
Every year several GCs are scrapped in UK Universities, I have yet to visit one which does not have an under used bit of kit. As pointed out above the GC is the lowest of your costs, do you have everything else that is needed. data system ? No info. on what compounds you need to analyse. The Science & Technology Facilities Council run a rental set up and have one of our CompactGC systems that goes out to Universities for catalyst tests and gas anaslysis which comes with both a data system and a Hydrogen/air generator. This might suit you better but there is usually a waiting list. You need to be looking and talking to people much closer to home than an anonymous post on an international website

I have got the consumable, gas cylinders...etc.
Thanks
Echoing what CEI and dblux said - if you are doing a Ph D you must be based at a university, and working on catalysis sounds like a chemistry department - a chemistry department without a GC that you can get access to sounds slightly strange. If this really is the circumstance that you find yourself in, then your best chance of getting time on an instrument is to ask people in your department to use their networks with other chemistry departments. If you are not doing your PhD through a chemistry department - pollutants might be environmental science for example - then your first line of approach needs to be to the chemistry department of your own university.

I have to do analysis of compounds after catalyst test of NOx, VOC...etc, which I have already. I need GC with the software because I have got the computer and all comsumable ..etc.

True but I have to connect the GC to Catalyst test reactor - Online analysis.
Thanks
