Can anyone recommend a company where HPLC column vendors get their stainless steel. I have called a few HPLC column companies but they don't want to give this information out. Didn't have much luck surfing the internet either.

I need to contact a company that makes the steel because I have some questions about the properties of steel that only they could provide.

Thanks in advance. Adam

I'd look for manufacturers of "precision 316 stainless steel tubing"
Thanks,
DR

Good luck. Even our suppliers don't tell us much. One column hardware vendor says "Germany" the other "Japan."

Almost all columns are made out of SS 316. You can get content from any SS manufacturer. You can try to contact McMaster-Carr and they will send you a spec for SS 316. I gueas you ale looking for Ni, Cr and other additives
Base on the look of hardware a lot of companies are using Isolation Technologies hardware (at least that’s what they were using originally)). It might be that right now a lot of SS as 100 ft. tubing comes from Asia (or at least the source for SS is Asia)

Vlad

Thank You!

Isolation Technologies was a hit.
