Septum purge shutdown

GC/MS 7890 has been shutting down due to inlet pressure. It seems unable to purge thus will not move onto next vial.
I have changed vent copper line and filter and it ran 20 vials then the same thing (liner/septa, septa nut all changed as well).
has anyone had a problem with the analogue valve malfunctioning so that it is physically unable to open valve? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Is the pressure too high or too low ? Have you checked for leaks ? - using a leak seeker not the onboard diagnostics.

It is too high. Hovering at 32-33psi. Previously started run at 17.5.
No leaks found
A stuck back pressure regulator on the split is a distinct possibility. Check for flow out of the split vent. What do the pressure and the split flow do if the inlet is in splitless mode ?.
