hi
i am looking for a method to detect the urea or ornithine from my sample, quantitatively.
can u please tell me any assay or method by which i can detect urea or ornithine quantitatively such as hplc, gc or spectrophotometry. please mention the reference also.
thanks in anticipation.
Dear mominbilal,

Check the compendium methods. GC headspace methods works for DMI, a cyclic urea.

Sincerely,
Keith
Given that a google search for analytical methods for each of these turns up many methods, I assume you have done such a search and have a qustion in the selection of one? A more specific question woule be helpful for providing you with a more specific answer.
Check out some of the HILIC literature, it is perfect for the analytes you mentioned and very easy to do.
