Superdex 200

this is for gel filtration. costs a fortune, and a right pain connecting to a hplc.
normal columns have an inlet and the tubing can be screwed into it, simple! not so for this

Of course these columns are a pain to connect to HPLC systems. They are designed for low pressure LC systems with a max pressure of 1.5 MPa (~215 psi).
As for the cost, I recently purchased a Sephadex 200 10/300 GL and a Phenomenex BioSep SEC S-3000. The difference in price was about 15%. I wouldn't describe this as hugely different.
