Title: LCMS Analyst (W45)
*Candidates MUST have solid practical experience in operating LCMS equipment including method development and data analysis. Driver’s license and own car essential. South African citizens will be given preference*
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Description: An analytical laboratory requires an LCMS analyst. Primary tasks will be pesticide residue analysis, data analysis, method development, keeping quality control data current, routine maintenance of LCMS, preparing standards from reference materials, sample extractions when required, assisting with keeping all aspects of the laboratory running smoothly.
Skills required: Candidates require problem solving skills and must be capable of working independently or in a team. Computer skills essential.
Qualifications required: ND/BSc (Chemistry) or higher.
Other requirements: Candidates must have significant solid, practical experience in operating LCMS equipment including method development and data analysis. Also essential is exposure to internationally recognised laboratory quality standards such as ISO 17025, GLP and ICH guidelines. Pesticide residue analysis experience would be an advantage. Candidates should also be have experience in the routine maintenance of analytical instruments and be comfortable with changing gas bottles. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and own transport. Some overtime will be required (within reason).
Remuneration: R10 000 to R25 000 per month (cost to company) depending on qualifications and experience.
