JEE Exam or Joint Entrance Exam is a pan-India entrance examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA) from 2019 onwards, for admission into the top NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and a few other state-funded universities for courses such as B.Tech, B.E, B.Plan & B. Arch programmes. It was earlier known to be the IIT JEE exam when CBSE used to conduct it. The JEE Mains is also considered as a qualifying examination for the JEE Advanced, which comes under the label of one of the toughest exams in the entire world. Every year, thousands and lakhs of student wish to get through to IIT or NIT. But cracking the JEE Exam is not an easy task. It requires a lot of sincere hard work, perseverance and above all, Patience.
JEE Main 2020 Details

Every student who has successfully cleared 12th standard is eligible to sit for the exam for a maximum of three consecutive years. There is no age limit for the same. The compulsory subjects required for a 12th standard is Mathematics and Physics. Chemistry or Biotechnology are considered as eligible subjects for the third choice.

Since 2019, JEE main examination is done twice a year in order to give students a better chance to get into one of the reputed institutions of our country. The first session happens in January whereas the second session is conducted in the month of April. The process of filling the form for January 2020 session will start on September 2019 and for the April 2020 session, it will start on February 2020.

The Students who are appearing the exam must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in their class 12th Examination or should be the part of the top 20 percentile in their respective state boards. This requirement is, however, is a bit relaxed for SC/ST up to 65% marks.

One can submit their application online only on the official websites http://www.nta.ac.on and http://www.jeemain.nic.in. All the details regarding exams and FAQ’s are available on their website. The syllabus for the exam is also provided by the officials before-hand. The timelines for the next two sessions will be soon released on these websites.

In order to crack the exam, the students should be thorough with the examination pattern. They should be done with the basics first, then the advanced solutions and finally attempt the papers on the final weeks before the JEE exam. Having a look at the question pattern in the previous year’s papers, i.e. 2017,2018,2019, might just provide an extra push to the students as it would give them an idea about the topics which are frequently being asked in the papers.
