Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry: Principles and Practice is a five-day, "boot camp" training course offering both lecture and hands-on sessions on all aspects of LC/MS and GC/MS. Topics include:

* The types of mass spectrometers and their characteristics
* How chromatography interfaces work
* Development and optimization of methods for LC/MS and GC/MS
* Interpretation of mass spectra
* Maintenance and trouble-shooting
* Real-world application examples

All of these topics and more are presented in lecture sessions and actual hands-on laboratory work with state-of-the-art instrumentation. The course content is designed to get new MS users started off on the right foot but also goes into a level of detail that will provide insights and ideas to those who are experienced MS analysts.

This year marks the 27th session for this landmark course. The class will be conducted at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, August 4-8.
