Registration for our famous hands-on mass spec summer course is now available. Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry: Principles and Practice is a five-day, "boot camp" training course offering both lecture and laboratory sessions on all aspects of LC/MS and GC/MS. Topics include:

The types of mass spectrometers and their characteristics
How chromatography interfaces work
Development and optimization of methods for LC/MS and GC/MS
Interpretation of mass spectra
Maintenance and trouble-shooting
Real-world application examples

All of these topics and more are presented in lecture sessions and actual hands-on laboratory work with state-of-the-art instrumentation. The course content is designed to get new MS users started off on the right foot but also goes into a level of detail that will provide insights and ideas to those who are experienced MS analysts.

2013 marks the 27th consecutive year for this course. This year's session will be held at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, August 5-9. The price for the course is $3100US which includes admission to the course, a course manual of more than 500 pages, other printed materials and books, breakfast and lunch each day, a Sunday night social event, and a banquet dinner on Thursday.
