Hello.
We've tried recently Acetonitrile/Water/Ammonia 4:6:0.2 as a mobile phase with Silicagel & C18 plates both alumina by Merck. After development stationary phase unglued from alumina and alumina got black color.
Any tips please?
Best regards,

Aluminum is corroded at alkaline pH. Best suggestion would be to switch to glass plates (or avoid alkaline mobile phases).

Both SiO2 & Al can be damaged by hight pH but methanol/ammonia is almost fine mobile phase.
