Hello,

I am intersetd in the workload of lab technicians in the pharmaceutical industry.

Let's divide the workload in three categories:

1) Time consuming anaylsis (high degree on active time, e.g. manual titration, counting of culture plates)
2) Time consuming analysis with a high degree of inactive technician time (e.g. HPLC with long run time)
3) Auxiliary analytics (e.g. physical testing of dosage forms)

Now, I am interested in the number of release and stability batches to be analyzed per year and how many percent of the analytical work belongs to category 1), 2) or 3) or to *documentation" or to "lab cleaning and administration".

E.g.: 50 release batches to analyze + 30 stability batch analysis, whereas the work is divided as follows:
30% cat. 1)
35% cat. 2)
15% cat. 3)
10% documentation
10% lab cleaning and administration
Number of lab technicians for this: 2

Could you inform me on workload and number of technicians in your lab?

Thank you so much

Florian
