HPLC Detector Response

Hi,
I am new user of HPLC. I am confused about my UV detector response showing
mAU as I am operating HPLC Shimadzu 2010 prominence. It displays like
104,256 mAU so what does it means? Is this point 104.256 or comma? as in
the printed chromatogram it displays 0, 50, 100 mAU only and some times it
displays mV. Can we convert both units of these detector response
intensity? What is the real principle behind as we know that maximum
absorbance is 2.0 and not more than 2.0 while document of my system claims
its 2.5 AU in linearity? Can I consider these absorbance units same as
those in UV/Vis spectroscopy?
