A comprehensive course in the systematic development of liquid chromatography separations using QbD principles.
Cost: US$ 359 per user for 12 months access
What is included: 38 video modules, 38 assessment tests, Certificate of Completion
Link: https://www.analytical-training-solutions.com/
Note: the first module is free access to illustrate the value of the course
What does it cover?
The central tenant of Quality by Design (ICH Q8) is that quality cannot be tested into a product – instead it must be designed into the product. When the product is an HPLC method, QbD strategies can guide the development process to result in a standardized method development procedure, more easily validated methods, and methods that are easier to use and adjust in routine applications. “Advanced HPLC Method Development Using Quality by Design” is an intensive online class that teaches you strategy and technique to develop high-quality HPLC and UHPLC methods quickly and with confidence. You will learn a time-proven technique that walks you through the method development process a step at a time using sound chromatographic principles to help make the process more efficient. The techniques can be used as a stand-alone strategy or added to existing development procedures to help streamline the process. Because the same principles apply to HPLC and UHPLC, you can apply the same information for the development of UHPLC methods.
Who should take this course?
This course is designed for practical workers in the laboratory who have responsibility for designing new HPLC or UHPLC methods or transferring methods between laboratories. Experienced workers will get the most out of this class, but because it builds from the fundamentals, anyone with experience in HPLC or UHPLC will gain valuable knowledge.
What do you get?
You get full access to the 38 video modules and approximately 12.5 hours of instruction.
What will I get from this course?
You should gain a better understanding of the chromatographic process and how it applies to HPLC and UHPLC method development. You will learn practical “tricks of the trade” from experts in developing methods in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and bioanalytical laboratory. You will obtain a step-by-step procedure to apply to the development of reversed-phase HPLC and UHPLC methods for nearly any sample. You will find that a systematic approach to method development has a great advantage over trial-and-error or modifying an older method, in terms of speed of development, faster methods, and more robust separations.
Instructors
The course was designed by John Dolan, Tom Jupille, and Lloyd Snyder. This class is taught by John Dolan, considered to be the one of the world’s experts in HPLC. He has written more than 300 user-oriented articles on HPLC troubleshooting over the last 30 years in addition to more than 100 peer-reviewed technical articles on HPLC and related techniques. His three books (co-authored with Lloyd Snyder), Troubleshooting HPLC Systems, Introduction to Modern Liquid Chromatography (3rd edn), and High-Performance Gradient Elution, are standard references on thousands of desks around the world. He also was intimately involved in the preparation of Snyder, Glajch, and Kirkland’s Practical HPLC Method Development (2nd edn) book. John is the author of Separation Science’s popular “HPLC Solutions” articles. From a method development standpoint, he has worked in a clinical chemistry department, managed an HPLC instrument manufacturer’s technical support laboratory, and written DryLab® software. He has taught HPLC training classes around the world to more than 10,000 students. His casual style and ability to get information across in a practical and understandable manner make him in high demand as a training instructor and conference speaker.
