Galaxie BootP & Windows 10

Hi,

I'm working with a Varian 3900 GC with Galaxie 1.9 and trying to update our Windows XP computer to Windows 10. It seems the Galaxie BootP-server isn't working in Windows 10. After assigning an IP-address with the old WinXP everything is working fine.

I read several posts suggesting to use http://www.dhcpserver.de, Open DHCP-server (http://dhcpserver.sourceforge.net/) or http://tftpd32.jounin.net/. I tried them all, but I'm not succeeding in connecting to the GC. The GC displays the message 'Waiting for network - press a key to abort'.

As this is a bit out of my comfort zone, I might have a wrong configuration of the BootP / DHCP-server. Would anybody know how to set this up in the correct way? Or is there any other way to assign an IP-address to this GC?

Thanks! Stefan

You should see the BootP request in the log window (s soon the GC started up).
Otherwise the GC network card is not working.

If you do not trust the Tftpd32 - use Wireshark and check if any packets coming from your GC.

As far I remember - (not sure about 3900), but cp3800 can be configured to static IP address from keyboard.
