I prepared Standards of 1,2.5, 5,7.5,10,12 ppm in triplicates and loaded in GC FID- Headspace. The area under the peak for 10 ppm had a huge difference(among the triplicates). I couldn't sort out the issue.
I prepared stock standards using methanol as diluent (100 ppm) and working standards in water.
What could be the possible reason for this variations??
