Hi ,

How do you determine the points across peak for Peak purity assessment on Empower

Current detector settings
>0.1 min (2 s response time (2.5Hz)

is this 20 ?
Hi ydna1977,

What is/are the width(s) of the peaks of interest at the base--particularly for the smallest/narrowest peak of interest? We'd need to know this as well as the data rate. For 2.5 points/sec, the raw peak should be This calculation is incorrect, please note the EDIT below.

20 points * 2.5 points/sec= 50 sec at the base.

Also, if the installation of Empower has the system suitability module, you'll be able to have these values calculated for you.

EDIT: My apologies--I miscalculated, I'm surprised no one has called me out on it by now.

The calculation should be:

20 points / 2.5 points/sec = 8 sec.

Thus, a peak 8 seconds wide at the base would contain 20 points at a data rate of 2.5 Hz (where Hz = points per sec).
