Best CDS for Clarus 580

Hi Folks,

I have a Clarus 580 with FPD for detecting sulfur species in natural gas etc.

We have TotalChrom software presently, my assessment so far is that the CDS is a tragedy.

I am looking for alternatives and so far only have come up with OpenLab EZChrom. Can anyone share their experiences with TotalChrom, EZChrom, Clarus 580 or similar, and maybe suggest a 3rd way on the CDS side?

- I would like to be able to externally trigger samples to start from a LabView or similar control setting, so that the LabView is acting as a supervisor and changing test fixture conditions based on what is detected by the CDS; a CDS that has external hooks is a huge plus...

- I would like a CDS that can automatically generate a spreadsheet of results as it goes, so that the supervisory program can have easy access to the data for the automated test scheme outlined.

Thanks very much in advance for any constructive inputs you might have!

Best regards,

JF

Hi: OpenLAB EZChrom work fine with the Clarus. Soon the OpenLab 2 will too. Send me a PM and we can discuss this further.

We have started Clarus 600 cross-platform driver development but still unfinished.
Currently it is in read-only state - full protocol parsing complete, but method upload is not working. No machine to test.

UniChrom sequence execution can be controlled via exposed COM interfaces (only Windows) (easily LabView-able).

Month ago finished the JSON-rpc style HTTP interface (UniChrom extension with built-in HTTP server). 50 functions of API exposed.
This solution is cross-platform.
In PHP it looks like
$resp = invoke("GetAspec",array('nspec'=>1));
