Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how you can adjust the slope sensitivity in a method on Chemstation, so it does not recognize the background noise as peaks. I am also trying to get the program to recognize the solvent peak to adjust the baseline for peaks that occur above the baseling and be able to save these manual integrations to the method. We do not have the manual or a detailed tutorial to figure this out and so it is difficult to to do this by trial and error. Also if anyone knows where to find a manual or a tutorial for an older version of Chemstation (A.06.03) we tried calling Agilent but since this version is obsolete they are unable to help us.

There are two ways of adjusting the slope sensitivity. firstly, to change one trace, load up the desired trace and then select integrationa nd integgration parameters from the drop down menu. sensitivity should be the top option on the table. the lower the value the more senistive the system will be.once the paramters have been changed of you select integrate from the drop down menu then you can see what effect the changes have. the second option is permantly change the method. this is done by edit entire method from the method drop down menu and go through the various options untill you come across the parameter table (this is the same table that you would get from the previous method). once again adjust the sesnitivity as desired.

Personally i would use the first option to determine what parameters are required and then go into the method and change accordingly.
