Hello,
Maybe someone could help me on that issue on Empower 2 :

Instrument failure (detector is stopped) during a sequence.
In the message center is written : Instrument Failure W2690/5@ 7 (HPLC detector Address)

Do you know the origin of this issue ? is it a hardware or software error ?

thank you

You have problem with your hardware (detector)

What kind of detector are you using?

It's a Waters HPLC 2695 with a 2996 detector.

Do you know how to solve this hardware issue ?

In your quickset, you can run PDA diagnostics to see where the problem is located in the PDA.

Maybe you should run these tests and come back with the results?

It could be a lamp which has excessive usage.

Or, you have a cleanout method or your method is programmed to shut the detector lamp off well after the end of data collection. Either way, we commonly see this message w/ our Empower installation. It's no big deal, as long as it's expected.
Thanks,
DR
