I'm running an Agilent 1200 LC, and it has the nifty feature of allowing overlapped injections - the autosampler goes and grabs the sample before your first injection is finished and positions the needle over the port, so that as soon as it's done it shoots the sample in immediately and winds up saving maybe a half-minute or so per injection. Which is awfully nice for high throughput applications.

But I'm also running an HTC PAL autosampler, so it's not as easy as that.

You go under the injector icon in Chemstation and click 'Enable Overlapped Injection' and 'When Sample is Flushed Out' or 'After X min', but that won't do it alone. There's some little setting, *somewhere*, that needs to be clicked on as well. (I've done this before, so I *know* it's doable, but cannot remember that setting or find it in the new machine.)

The CTC method is the same in both machines, so it's not that. And the same applies for the cycle composer.
