Hello:

We need to purchase new computers for some of our equipments with Chemstation software. I contacted Agilent and I was told that Chemstation (i.e. E02.02) will not work with Windows 10! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time.

Did Agilent actually say that it wouldn't work, or only that such combination has not been verified by them to operate. We used some "A" revisions of Chemstations on newer Windows than "accepted", and it worked fine.

Question: couldn't you get a new computer and load an older version of Windows onto it, or get a 10-year-old kid with glasses to do that for you? And then load your Chemstation?

Agilent most likely isn't going to certify the older versions on W10 so the only way you will know is to try it. In the past the incompatibilities have been in how Chemstation likes to directly interact with the OS Kernel and the newer OS versions don't want to allow that.

I can't even get our IT guy to touch the instrument control software when we upgrade a computer, so we have to do it ourselves.

Just test and you will get the knowledge which overwhelms Agilent Reps.

* Install Virtualbox http://www.virtualbox.org
* Install Win10
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softwar ... ndows10ISO
you do not need any product code and activation because 3 days is enough for testing.
* Install your ChemStation from you CD

about 2 hours of background work
