Hello,

We are having trouble acquiring the settings from a Clarus 500 GC with TotalChrom. TotalChrom tries to copy the configuration, and the Instrument warms up when the communication starts, so we know that some communication is happening.

Software: Totalchrom 6.3.1
Hardware: Clarus 500 GC
The License PAK is installed
We are using an RS232 > RJ11 connection.

This system has worked the way it is setup in the past. The problem started when the hardware was moved, so we haven't ruled out a problem with the connectors and are getting new connectors to try.

When we try to setup a column test we get these errors.

Errors:
-984 0ERROR: 3 VALUE OUT OF RANGE ERROR 61 AT A
and
Acquire Client: Error parsing ISTAT data. failed to update status

Additional Question: When the configuration is successfully acquired should there be something in the |acq server| column? Does that apply when connecting directly via a serial port?

My apologies that these aren't the best images, the computer isn't connected to the internet so I had to take photos with my phone.

Have you solve this issue? I have the same problem now, Maybe you can help me out. Thank you
Wow, suddenly I know what is ISTAT.

It is string representing instrument part status like:
STATUS=2,1,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2

Looks like while moving your instrument either thermo sensor or pneumatic board were disconnected - so the status shows invalid value.

Or you connection is bad, so data is lost in transmission (i.e. incomplete or broken string received). This maybe due to RS-232 parameter configuration (parity, stopbits) or broken serial port.
