HI

I need to convert my Varian .xms files to .cdf format so that I can process them on another software package. I cannot see anything in the MS Workstation version 7 software I have (Bruker upgrade). I think there might be some pay for file converting software on-line but is there anything free?
Has anyone got any experience with this, i am desparate and would like to be able to do something today if possible.

Regards

Kieran
Hi Kieran,

you can use OpenChrom to convert your files:

https://openchrom.net

Please fetch after installation the Varian XMS converter (free of charge) from the marketplace:

To convert a dozen of files, there's a batch processor available:

Thanks

Thats fantastic!

Next I will have to learn what openchrom can do. It looks very impressive.

Hi,
we have been trying to convert .XMS files into .CDF or .AIA files for long but we are unable to do it. We have searched the option to directly export the XMS files to any of these formats but the version of our software does not gives us that option, only the .PRN option. We have also dowloaded the program aforementioned OpenChrome, but it does not work in the computers we have tested, we would like to ask you please some help with this task.
Thank you in advance.

Please send couple of .XMS examples to unichrom at unichrom dot com. We will try to write UniChrom file converter.
Meta-information (dataset attributes like analysis length, scan range, mode etc) will be also helpful. File analysis results may be shared with OpenChrom team.
