Hi all,

My group develops and validates HPLC methods for peptide purity. I am fairly well versed in the peak purity routine in Empower when using PDA. The PDA indicates that the peak is spectrally homogeneous, but since the structures of a peptide and its related substances (e.g. deamidated) are so similar, I believe the PDA isn't able to discriminate between the two. I was curious if there is a routine in Empower when analyzing LC-MS data to determine if a peak has anything co-eluting? Other than manually extracting the spectra at different points, is there something automated that Empower can do which is analogous to the PDA peak purity analysis?

I'll keep browsing the web, but haven't found anything yet. If anyone has some advice or can point me in the right direction - even if it's a class or webinar - I would appreciate it.

Thank you.
