We are trying to get the hivac values and runtimes when a run is ongoing on the GC/MS and log them to a data file. It doesn't seem like we can run macros in the background during a run on the MS Control instance, but we found that we could run a macro from the Data Analysis instance that can loop and get the runtime of the MS Control instance during the run through DDE. Unfortunately, although we can also get the hivac value through DDE from DA using the scquery command or the getpressure macro, this does not work when a run is currently ongoing.

Any workarounds or other ideas on how we could collect this data? Basically want the HiVac value every second during a run. We are using MSD Chemstation E.02.
