hi everyone,

in order to use an old Perkin Elmer Autosampler XL, i've made a cheap Arduino/ADS1220 (Texas Instrument 24 bits ADC) based acquisition system

i'm using eZdata software to analyze my ascii files, but i wish to try other softs, like "N2000 CDS" or "BaseLine CDS®"

looking for a link to download

could anyone help ?

thanks a lot

PS: interested to test any software that can work with ascii acquisition files

EDIT 23/03/2023 : here is the project page https://github.com/f4hbg/ezChromato
Our UniChrom
https://www.unichrom.com/unichrome.shtml

Download is here:
https://www.unichrom.com/chrom/ucdle.php

can process the following file formats including TXT/CSV
https://www.unichrom.com/chrom/uc-ffe.shtml

Data processing is free.

and acquire data from custom-made ADC online
https://www.unichrom.com/simple/simplee.shtml

Just to encourage such bravery we can provide free license. Just contact us.

To move further - with your help we can try reverse-engineer PE Autosystem XL protocol, and make driver for direct instrument control with UniChrom DDK

Hi,

It doesn't have a GUI, but if you are an R user, you could try my software chromatographR (https://ethanbass.github.io/chromatographR/). Should be straightforward to load in the ascii files. Sounds like a cool project!

Edit: I can't really tell from your post if you want an interface to the arduino for actually collecting data or just analysis. My package would work for analysis -- likely not for data collection

Hi Ethan thanks for your answer, yes for sure i will try chromatographR ! i'll tell you if it works with my arduino/ADS1220 ascii acquisition diy

hello Anton, i'll be honoured to try unichrom with my little DIY system, in fact i already tried on linux (ubuntu and debian) but was unable to make ASCII interface appears in the acquisition source...

so YES i'm very interested to have a licence to try live acquisition on windows :)

i'm also interested in making driver for direct instrument control !

Thanks a lot

ps : i'll publish my "ezChromato" code on github soon (called it "ezChromato" in reference to "ezData")

What is wrong with Linux?
See the screencast:
https://black.inpnet.net/support/simple ... 06:12.webm

Your ADSxxxx acquisition device port should be like /dev/ttyUSB* with appropriate baud rate settings.
hi anton,
first problem : when i make a standard install on Linux (ubuntu or debian) i only have Cyrillic alphabet on screen and i can't find where are the language settings
second problem : when i tweak binaries (zip or deb) on Linux, i can manage to start Unichrom with US/GB menu, then i can configure ascii input but unfortunately it looks like it's not saved well, and the interface does not appear when i want to launch acquisition
i've just installed a windows 10 on the lab computer for windows tests, i send you the MAC adress
hope we will manage to find a solution for Linux :)
thanks again for your help

Strange
anyway UniChrom can be started with forced locale
./uc --locale=en_US
hi Anton,

i downloaded the last Linux version (5.1.14.262), unzip it in /opt folder (as usual), launched ./uc and all works fine immediately !

Ascii input creation worked fine, and now my ADS1220 acquisition is perfect !

i don't understand what was my mistake...

i'll try the windows version with my ADS1220

and i'll also try to create a unichrom driver for the PE XL later ! very exciting but i need time

thanks for your help
hi folks !

it took some time, but here is the github repo for my cheap and easy DIY CDS
