Several of my co-workers and myself included have run into a temporary issue in which when we generate an Empower 3 Custom report with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (32-bit), the pdf shows the formatted columns, but all the data reads as gibberish and symbols (for example SQX@1//,C^RSC$^#).
Has anyone else observed this? The issue does seems to resolve itself in either 10-15 min, or when I do shut down/restart my office computer.
See whether the issue consistently goes away when you disable your antivirus software. I've long suspected that the generation of PDFs involves directories outside the excluded list provided by Waters and that this is a symptom of the issue.

Does this happen as soon as the report shows up in print preview, or does it happen when you save a PDF, when you print it, or if you use Report Viewer after signing off on it?
Thanks,
DR
