Hello everybody,

we would like to compare different chromatograms (from different sequences, times etc.) to a reference chromatogram that was saved earlier.

Is it possible to do that in OpenLab/EZChrom? We would like to have a function similar to the baseline deduction, but instead of deduction, e.g. a list of relative peak size or something similar.

Thank you very much!
Not a "reference" chromatogram. You just want to load a specific file for comparison to others. That is called signal "overlay" and can be used with different data sets or whole files. This feature is available in the research grade CDS packages. The availability of the feature (and the name) vary depending on which of the dozen or so revisions of the software you purchased (under license) for your software, "EZChrom". *If you are not familiar with the software features of your CDS system, please consider taking a professional class to learn the basics of what is available. That is one of the best ways to quickly and efficiently learn the most practical features of the software.
Thank you very much for your answer, but I think there is a little missunderstanding.

I do not want to overlay two chromatograms, I want an automized comparison of two chromatograms including e.g. a comparison of peak areas with an automated test resulting in an "failed/passed"-result (95-105% --> passed, more or less: failed).

I know how to overlay chromatograms, but a simple overlay is not what I am looking for.
We have a tool for that called matchcompare. Based on RT and Area it compares chromatogram(s) with a reference and the output is a detailed overview not only pass/fail, but also a matching between individual peaks.

That is what I was looking for, thank you very much!

I will check if it is usable in combination with our software version
