Check the event viewer logs for Windows. I'm assuming its Windows 10 OS? We had FID's that did this all the time because parts of the OS were triggering and crashing the connection to the instrument.
Also, is it networked into a company network? So is the switch connected to the outside world? If so, ensure that all the IP addresses are known by the DHCP server. Your IT department can do this. Other computers may be assigned the same IP as your equipment, which will cause it to crash out. The fix is to run the outside network to a separate card and keep the instrument IP's something simple like 10.0.0.1 etc.. like the old days.
Third thing, have you upgraded the OS or the software? Was the appropriate modifications to the firmware made if you did?
