Can one computer run two Agilent 3D CE instruments?

Hello,

Our lab has two Agilent 3D CE instruments, which are each connected to their own Windows XP computer with Chemstation Rev A.10.02 [1757]. We recently bought two more 3D CE instruments on Lab Wrench. Can we connect the new CE's to our current computers so each computer has two CE's, or do we need to get more computers to go with our new instruments?

Thanks!

Hi

I don't use Agilent but their system like Beckman's uses a GPIB control interface. With these cables, you can connect two to three machines together and use one computer. There is a procedure on doing this and I have the one for Beckman's P/ACE or PA800 and I have checked Agilent's site and they show this too.

If they're ethernet, probably.
Get an ethernet hub and assign ea. instrument its own IP address...
