CE Instrument Performance Checks

Merry Xmas everyone!

I'd like to find out how what regular in-house instrument performance checks you do on your CE system (in between checks by the vendor)

For example, for a HPLC, every 4-6 months we verify some parameters like injector precision, injector accuracy, gradient formation, detector linearity etc. Basically a selection of OQ tests, just to make sure the instrument is not behaving badly.

Any recommendations for a CE?

Usually the same performance criteria apply here for CE as LC. What matters more is what is used as the test performance method and analyte. Injection cannot be as easily tested as in LC so I would not consider it. For detector linearity this can be setup with good standards and the appropriate wavelength. With CE just be sure that the pressure system is checked with a pressure rinse and the high voltage system is tested with a charged standard.

Each year (12 months) you need calibrate the 3 channels: temperature, pressure and voltage and the performance test at the same period.
