Recipe for Regenerant

Does anyone know the ideal concentration of H2SO4 for regenerant to analyze anions (Cl, SO4, NO3, NO2, Br). I was thinking of buying dilute H2SO4 from Fisher Sci and diluting to the recommended concentration. Thanks in advance!

Also, any comments on a good source for Eluent would be appreciated.

Hi ea123
If you use a suppressor from Thermo Scientific ,e.g. CRS-500, you can find all relevant information in the manual (http://www.dionex.com/en-us/webdocs/115509-Man-Suppressor-CRS-500-031727-EN-07.pdf). On page 29 is a table with the concentrations of sulfuric acids and the corresponding mobile phases.

And, buying of chemicals from Fisher Sci is always a good idea ;-)

Hi,

We are looking to analyze anions (Cl, NO3, SO4, NO2, Br) and I'm wondering which column would be best, AS14A or AS18 ?

Also, does anyone have a part number for the Dionex eluent that goes with these columns?

Hi ea123

The determination of Cl, NO3, SO4, NO2, Br is possible with both columns. The AS14A is a Carbonat/Bicarbonate selective phase which is normally used in a isocratic system. You can buy a concentrate (250ml or 100ml, P/N 056937 or 057560, both 100x concentrate) at your local Thermo Fisher dealer. The AS18 is a hydroxide selective phase which is used normally with an RFIC system (gradient and eluent generation).
