GCMS increasing TOTM relative response

Discussions about GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-FTIR, and other "coupled" analytical techniques.

I've been working on the same project for about a month, and have noticed that the internal standard relative response has been continuously increasing for TOTM. The response of the internal standard (Acenaphthene-d10) has remained at approximately 500,000, while TOTM response has increased from ~ 100,000 to 1-2,000,000.
Within one analytical run, the TOTM response is fairly steady through the precision and calibration injections, but then after sample has been injected, the drift injections jump way up for TOTM response.
Any ideas on why? Any ideas on how to fix it?

What instrument are you using?

What type injection and column?

What is TOTM?

It could be something with the sample matrix but we need more information to diagnose.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
